Resolution approving Public Amenities, Easement and Special Privilege Agreement with Wisconsin Center District. (Department of Public Works)
ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution approves an agreement with the Wisconsin Center District pursuant to which the City will work cooperatively with the District to construct and maintain certain public and private improvements and amenities in the public right-of-way and in easement areas granted to the City by the District, all in conjunction with the construction of the new exposition center facility.
BODY:
Whereas, The City and District, acting pursuant to sec. 66.30 and sec. 229.45, Stats., desire to work cooperatively to construct and maintain, in conjunction with the construction of a new exposition center, certain public and private improvements and amenities in the public right-of-way and on areas adjacent to the public right-of-way which are made available to the public by the District; and
Whereas, The City, acting pursuant to sec. 66.045, Stats., and sec. 245-12, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, is granting to the District a special privilege in order to allow the District to construct and maintain certain amenities available to the public within the public right-of-way areas adjacent to the new exposition center; and
Whereas, The District is also granting to the City an easement which will allow the city to construct certain public improvements on the easement area adjacent to the new exposition center; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Public Amenities, Easement and Special Privilege Agreement are hereby approved and that the proper City officers are authorized to execute the Agreement on the City's behalf.
