Analysis
This resolution approves Amendment 3 to the Harbor Assistance Program Grant Agreement No. 0495-22-04 between Port Milwaukee and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The Amendment will increase the total project budget and funding amount by $250,000, to a full amount of $1,718,750. The resolution also authorizes Port Milwaukee to accept, fund and expend the additional grant funds and to execute the necessary documents.
Body
Whereas, on June 1, 2022, the Common Council adopted File Number 220029 authorizing Port Milwaukee to enter into an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to accept grant funding through its Harbor Assistance Program (HAP); and

Whereas, project work includes repairs to sections of dockwall along the Jones Island Inner Mooring Basin; and

Whereas, Amendment 1 and Amendment 2 to the grant agreement were no-cost amendments allowing additional time for completion of project work; and

Whereas, following the historic storm event of August 9-10, 2025, additional damage to the dockwall along the Jones Island Inner Mooring Basin was identified; and

Whereas, an additional $200,000 (80%) of grant funds will be provided by WisDOT and an additional $50,000 (20%) of local share will be provided in the Port 2026 Capital Budget (Project 180000200 - Pier Berth & Channel Improvements), as previously approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
