Title

Analysis

This substitute resolution clarifies the limits of the vacation and directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said leg of alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by Milwaukee County to consolidate land for an existing parking lot for the Marcia P. Coggs Human Services Building.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that the northerly east leg of alley in the block bounded by North 12th Lane, North 12th Street, West Cherry Street and West Vliet Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said leg of alley in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
