Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of vacant, tax-deed and City lots for new residential construction.
Body
Whereas, Said lots are located in the City of Milwaukee's Sherman Park/34th and Auer targeted area and the Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation ("NIDC") desires to purchase said lots for new residential construction; and
 
Whereas, NIDC has offered to purchase said lots for $1.00 each to build owner-occupied housing; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends sale of said lots in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
 
Whereas, DCD recommends closure of the transaction contingent upon submittal, review and approval of site and building plans; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lots are surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lots are declared surplus, that the Offer to Purchase from NIDC is accepted, that the Commissioner of DCD, or assigns, is authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution, and that the proceeds from the sale be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106 and the Non-Tax-Deed Property Account No. 983014-0001-1911-5840-2002.
