Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File #090249 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Refugee Health Screening Grant project from the State of Wisconsin - Department of Workforce Development on behalf of the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The purpose of the grant is to aid the Tuberculosis Control Clinic in its services to refugees.

Whereas, Common Council File #090249 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the 2009-2010 Refugee Health Screening Grant from the State of Wisconsin - Department of Workforce Development. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $304,500; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $135,000; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Family and Economic Security (DFES) is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2010 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects Funds, the following amount for the project titled Refugee Health Screening:
