Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to issue an excavation permit on pavement less than three years old in the 3200 block of West Hampton Avenue for the purpose of installing, at no cost to the City, a new vault cover.
ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue an excavation permit on pavement that is less than three years old.
BODY:
Whereas, D.F.Tomasini, Inc. has been hired by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District to install a new vault cover at 3200 West Hampton Avenue; and
Whereas, An open cut method of installation is required in West Hampton Avenue; and
Whereas, This open cut will affect pavement less than three years old and subject to a pavement guarantee; and
Whereas, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District desires to have this new vault cover installed prior to the expiration of the pavement guarantee date; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to issue an excavation permit to allow the installation of a new vault cover in the guaranteed pavement in West Hampton Avenue; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the pavement restoration of the affected street shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications and restrictions established by the Department of Public Works of the City of Milwaukee and at no cost to the City.
