Substitute resolution authorizing the submittal, acceptance and funding of the City of Milwaukee's 1998 consolidated community development entitlement funding for Neighborhood Strategic Planning Area (NSP Area 8) Eight from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Block Grant Administration (CBGA).


ANLS:


This resolution authorizes the Community Block Grant Administration to execute and implement contracts for activity consistent with the approved outputs designated for Neighborhood Strategic Planning Area Eight in the 1998 Annual Action Plan.




BODY:
Whereas, The 1998 Community Development Program activity for the City of Milwaukee has been proposed by the Neighborhood Planning Areas and approved by the Community Development Policy Committee on September 8, 1997; and

Whereas, The Community Development Policy Committee on July 28, 1997 approved the funding of activities noted below using funds anticipated to be available in 1998 known as reprogramming funds; and

Whereas, CCFN 970385 authorized the submission of a revised Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan for 1998 consolidated community development entitlement funding; and

Whereas, CCFN 970937 authorized the allocation of community development entitlement funding for 1998; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That these funds are appropriated to the Community Block Grant Administration which is authorized to:

1. Expend from the amount appropriated sums for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date;

2. Enter into subrecipient contracts as detailed in the grant budget; and be it

Further Resolved, That the Community Block Grant Administration is responsible for awarding subrecipient contracts for each of the 1998 approved outputs for Neighborhood Strategic Planning Area Eight hereby authorized as foll...
