Analysis:      

This resolution increases the amount of contributions up to an additional $200,000 that the Milwaukee Police Department can receive from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.

Body:

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 080207 on June 10, 2008, approving the application, acceptance and expenditures of not more than $60,000 from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation to fund overtime deployment of additional foot patrol officers in the 6^th Police District; and

Whereas, Interest has been expressed in making additional contributions to the Greater Milwaukee Foundation for overtime deployment of additional foot patrol officers and other related expenditures in the 6^th Police District; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that in reference to Resolution File Number 080207 adopted on June 10, 2008, the Milwaukee Police Department can receive up to an additional $200,000 from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation for a total received of up to $260,000; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Contribution Fund-General, account number 0001-2110-D001-006300, and the Estimated Revenue Account for contributions, account number 0001-2110-0001-009850 to the Police Department's Special Account 0001-331-0001-D361-006X00, and the Police Department's Estimated Revenue Account 0001-3310-0001-9850.
