Resolution implementing a provision of the 2005 adopted city budget that funding in the Travel/Newsletter Printing fund account be equally divided among the Council members.
Analysis
This resolution implements a provision of the 2005 city budget, City Clerk's Office, whereby the $17,000 in funding for Common Council member travel is combined with the funds of $210,000 for mailings in Other Operating Services in a Travel/Newsletter Printing special fund of $227,000. The funding will be equally divided among the 15 Common Council members.

Whereas, By amendment and footnote to the 2005 adopted city budget, the Common Council has retitled the Aldermanic Travel fund account to the Travel/Newsletter Printing fund account in the City Clerk's budget; and
Whereas, The Travel/Newsletter Printing fund account will be used for all aldermanic travel and mailings of letters, postcard surveys and newsletters; and
Whereas, The implementation of the footnote requires that the funding be divided equally among the 15 Council members; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that funding approved in the 2005 adopted budget for the Travel/Newsletter Printing special fund be equally divided among the Council members.
