- ANALYSIS -
The Common Council have approved funding and construction of a nonassessable public improvement water project. Additional funds are necessary to bore a casing pipe under S. 27th St. (Hwy 41). This resolution increases funding for the water project so that the work may be undertaken.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on June 24, 1997 adopted File Number 970293 approving funding for a nonassessable water project; and
Whereas, The funding resolution is still valid and provides necessary partial funding authorization for this water project, and
Whereas, It is now necessary to bore a casing pipe under S. 27th St. (Hwy 41) instead of the original plan to do the work by trenching; and
Whereas, Additional funds must be authorized to undertake the following improvement:

W. Cold Spring Rd. - S. 27th St. to S. 35th St. (821-4452-5) File Number 970293: Relay water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund 42-641---101-0001 -- $250,000)
;now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital purpose subaccounts.
