Substitute resolution approving and granting of an easement and authorizing the proper City officers to execute the easement to the Wisconsin Bell, Inc., d.b.a. SBC Wisconsin to upgrade and expand services by installing equipment in a buried underground vault on the Milwaukee Public School property at Sara Scott School, 1017 North 12th Street, in the 4th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
Wisconsin Bell, Inc., d.b.a. SBC Wisconsin has requested that the City grant them an easement on Milwaukee Public School property for an underground vault that will house their equipment which will upgrade and expand service within the area.
Body
Whereas, The Wisconsin Bell d.b.a. SBC Wisconsin (SBC) has submitted an easement granting them the right to enter upon and across Milwaukee Public School property located at Sara Scott School, 1017 North 12th Street, in order to install an underground vault that will house their equipment which will upgrade and expand service within the area; and,
Whereas, The terms of said easement are set out and attached to this file and approved as to content by the Milwaukee Public School Board at their meeting held on December 19, 2002; and,
Whereas, The City Engineer has checked the legal description and location drawing and the Office of the City Attorney has reviewed the easement with respect to form; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said easement be and the same is hereby approved, and the proper City officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Milwaukee; and, be it
Further Resolved, That after said easement has been executed by the proper City officers it shall be returned to the Office of the City Attorney for approval as to execute and then returned to the City Engineer for proper distribution.
