Whereas, The plaintiff, Ellis Beason, has filed an administrative claim against the City of Milwaukee (Water Works); and
Whereas, The plaintiff has agreed to settle the lawsuit for the amount of $39,725.00 total; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to settle this lawsuit; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $38,500, made payable to The Schroeder Group, S.C., in full and final settlement of this lawsuit, upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, said amount to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 0001-1490-0001-S118-006300; and, be it
Further Resolved, that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $1,225.00 (less any federal and state withholdings), made payable to Mr. Ellis Beason in full and final settlement of this lawsuit, upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, said amount to be charged to the Water Works Salary Fund, Account No. 0410-6410-R999-006000.
