Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a vacant, tax-deed lot.
Body
Whereas, John T. Anderson, with his property located at 2421-23 West Center Street, has offered $1,000 to purchase the vacant, tax-deed lot adjoining his property; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of the Offer from John T. Anderson contingent upon site plan approval since this sale will enhance the rehabilitation of his adjoining property and allow for off-street parking for his tenants; and
 
Whereas, Said lot is being sold in an "as is" condition and the City makes no representations as to soil or subsoil condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lot is surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said lot is declared surplus, that the Offer from John T. Anderson is accepted, that the Commissioner of DCD, or assigns, is authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution and that the proceeds from the sale, less a 20 percent disposition cost reimbursement to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund, Account No. 0001-334106.
