Resolution approving codicil to the Emergency Medical Services Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County. (Comptroller)
ANLS:
The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County have entered into an agreement under which Milwaukee County reimburses the City of Milwaukee for emergency medical services provided by the Milwaukee Fire Department. This resolution approves a codicil to the agreement. The codicil is designed as an aid to the construction of the agreement. As a result of the implementation of the codicil it is anticipated that there will be administrative savings to the City in the administration of the agreement.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County entered into an Emergency Medical Services Agreement for a term of one year commencing in 1996; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County have executed one year extensions to such agreement covering 1997 and 1998, and a six-month extension to June 30, 1999; and
Whereas, The parties to the agreement have discussed ways to streamline the administration of the agreement and to reduce administrative costs as a result; and
Whereas, The results of such discussions are embodied in a codicil to the agreement which, while introducing administrative streamlining and cost reductions, does not affect the substantive terms of the agreement itself; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the codicil to the Emergency Medical Services Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County be and hereby is approved and the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to execute same on behalf of the City.
