Title

Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of vacant, tax-deed lots.
Body
Whereas, Derrick Martin has submitted an unsolicited Offer to Purchase 508-10 and 516 West Reservoir Avenue and 1901-05 North 5th Street in the amount of $2,000 for construction of an owner-occupied single-family home; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends the sale of said lots in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition and acceptance of Mr. Martin's Offer contingent upon the following:
 
1. Site and building plans must be submitted for review and approval prior to closing.
 
2. Closing must occur within 90 days from Offer acceptance.
 
3. Construction must be completed within 18 months from the date of closing or the City may invoke its reversionary rights; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lots are surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lots are declared surplus; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Offer to Purchase from Derrick Martin is accepted; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution and that the proceeds from the sale, less a 15 percent development fee to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
