Analysis
This resolution directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds and set up appropriate accounts for preliminary engineering for the connecting highway project (listed below) with Federal/State Aid. This project is approved and included in the WISDOT’s current State Trunk Highway program for improvement. The City of Milwaukee is responsible for 25% of the preliminary engineering costs on this project in accordance with WISDOT policy. City costs for the construction of this project will be dependent upon parking allowed. The estimated total cost of this project is $5,550,000, of which the City’s share is $625,000 and the grantor’s share is $4,925,000. The total estimated preliminary engineering cost of this project is $360,000, of which the City’s share is $90,000 and grantor’s share is $270,000.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 051477 authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a project agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for the programming and construction or rehabilitation of the following connecting highway with Federal and/or State Aid:
