Minutes note: BY ALD. GORDON--- by recommending approval of said motion. THE CLERK swore in the Court Reporter. RENEWAL WITH A 30 DAY SUSPENSION OF THE CLASS "B" TAVERN LICENSE OF WILLIAM AGOSTO FOR THE PREMISES AT 1031 W. MAPLE STREET, "LABIOS LOUNGE" (12TH DISTRICT) NONRENEWAL OF THE CLASS "D" BARTENDER RENEWAL LICENSE OF KATIE K. MCMILLION DENIAL OF THE HOME IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTOR LICENSE OF FRANCISCO MORANTES FOR "FM CONTRACTORS" AT 2916 W. FOREST HOME AVENUE. THE CHAIR questioned whether all members of the Common Council present at the meeting had read the report and recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee and written exceptions, if filed, relative to the foregoing recommendations. A roll call vote showed the following results: Ayes: 15 - Ald. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Murphy, Hines and President Kalwitz. Noes: 2. -Ald. Schramm and Nardelli. THE CHAIR questioned whether William Agosto--- or his counsel was present. Franciso Morantes was present. ALD. GORDON moved to refer the Class "D" Bartender Renewal License of Katie McMillion back to the Utilities Licenses Committee. The motion prevailed. ALD. Nardelli moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from the applicant Francisco Morantes and Assistant City Attorney. PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE Francisco Morantes and City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the Committee relative to the foregoing matter. ALD. Witkowiak moved that the Committee do now rise. The motion prevailed. THE CHAIR moved for a roll call to approve the Utilities and Licenses recommendations for nonrenewal of Home Improvement Contractors license for Francisco Morantes. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: 14 - Ald. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Murphy, Hines, and President Kalwitz. Noe: 1 - Ald. Johnson-Odom. Excused: 2 -Ald. Schramm and Nardelli. ALD. GORDON moved for approval of File 970355. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: -17- Ald. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Schramm, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and Kalwitz. Noes: 0.
