Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of Neighborhood Services to fence the City-owned vacant lots at: 2908 N. 5^th St., 2911 N. 5^th St., 2915 N. 5^th St., 2932 N. 5^th St.,  and 2935 N. 5^th St.

Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee owns vacant lots at:  2908 N. 5^th St., 2911 N. 5^th St., 2915 N. 5^th St., 2932 N. 5^th St., and 2935 N. 5^th St. ;and

Whereas, The deserted and unprotected appearance of the lots attracts criminals intending to break the law while on the property; and

Whereas, These lots have been the site of robberies and other unlawful activities; and

Whereas, To correct the appearance of these lots for purposes of crime prevention and to deter public entrance, it is desirable to fence the lots on all sides; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Neighborhood Services is directed to fence on all sides the City-owned vacant lots at: 2908 N. 5^th St., 2911 N. 5^th St., 2915 N. 5^th St., 2932 N. 5^th St., and 2935 N. 5^th St.
