Recommendation of renewal with a 10-day suspension for the following 2 Class "D" bartenders:

Recommendation of renewal with a 15-day suspension based upon police report for the Class "D" bartender application of Pauline K. Tavernia
Recommendation of renewal with a 10-day suspension for the Class "B" Tavern license of Mirtha Romero-Perez for the premises at 625 S. 6th St. ("La Bachata Bar") in the 12th Aldermanic District based upon police report
Recommendation of renewal with a 60-day suspension of the Class "B" tavern and Tavern Amusement (Cabaret/Nite Club) licenses of Andrea N. Chavis for the premises at 6222 W. Fond du Lac Ave. ("Phoenix Bar & Grill") in the 2nd Aldermanic District
The President questioned whether the members of the Common Council read the Report and Recommendations of the Utilities and Licenses Committee in the matter and any written exceptions?
Ayes: 16 - Ald. Davis, D'Amato, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Wade, Dudzik, Sanchez, Witkowski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Pratt.
Noes: 0.
ALD. BOHL moved to strike the Class "D" Bartender application of Keith W. Van Vreede from the deny list and return it back to committee.
The motion prevailed.

ALD. BOHL moved to strike from the deny list the Class "D" bartender license of Alqasas Nur Najm and Janechai Tongkumbunjong and return them back to Committee.
The motion prevailed.
Recommendation of renewal with a 10-day suspension for the Class "B" Tavern license of Mirtha Romero-Perez for the premises at 625 S. 6th St. ("La Bachata Bar") in the 12th Aldermanic District based upon police report (Committee vote: Ayes: 5, Noes: 0; written exceptions have been filed).
ALD. WADE moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Attorney Ronnie Vargas and the Assistant City Attorney's Office relative to the foregoing matter.
PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
Attorney Ronnie Vargas and the Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter.
Recommendation of renewal with a 60-day suspension of the Class "B tavern and Tavern Amusement (Cabaret/Nite Club) licenses of Andrea N. Chavis for the premises at 6222 W. Fond du Lac Ave. ("Phoenix Bar & Grill") in the 2nd Aldermanic District.
Attorney Ronald Langford and the Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter.
ALD. JOHNSON-ODOM moved that the Committee do now rise.
The motion prevailed.
ALD. GORDON moved to amend the application of Andrea N. Chavis to a 30 -day suspension of the Tavern Amusement (Cabaret/Nite Club) license and to renew the Class "B" Tavern license without suspension.
The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: 1 - Ald. Gordon.
Noes: 15 - Ald. Davis, D'Amato, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Donovan, Richards, Wade, Dudzik, Sanchez, Witkowski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Pratt.
ALD. DAVIS moved to read the police report into the record. Withdrawn.
ALD. GORDON moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf relative to the foregoing matter.
ALD. BOHL moved that the Committee now do rise.
ALD. SANCHEZ moved to approve the renewal for the Class "B" Tavern license of Mirtha Romero-Perez for the premises at 625 S. 6th St. ("La Bachata Bar") notwithstanding the commitee's recommendation
The motion failed by the following vote:
Ayes: 7 - Ald. D'Amato, Gordon, Donovan, Wade, Sanchez, Hines and President Pratt.
Noes: 9 - Ald. Davis, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Richards, Dudzik, Witkowski, Breier, Nardelli and Murphy.
ALD. BOHL moved to adopt the foregoing committee report
The motion prevailed.
