Title
Resolution authorizing the Health Department to accept donations of diapers, wipes, and period supplies from the Milwaukee Diaper Mission.
Analysis
This file authorizes the Health Department to accept donation of diapers, wipes, and period supplies valued in excess of $37,500 from the Milwaukee Diaper Mission (MDM). This donation will support the continued efforts of both the Health Department and the Milwaukee Diaper Mission to reach individuals and new families.
Body
Whereas, City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances 304-24 allows acceptance of donations to the City of Milwaukee with Common Council approval; and,
Whereas, the Milwaukee Diaper Mission has offered the diapers, wipes, and period supplies to the Health Department; and
Whereas, reliable sources of free diapers and period products pair with existing family and community health services and add a layer of community support; therefore, be it so
Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department may accept the donation of diapers, wipes, and period supplies from the Milwaukee Diaper Mission detailed in Exhibit A (MOU).
