Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2004 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council (Department of Employee Relations-Employee Benefits Division,Fire Department, Library & Police Department).
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 030415 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under "Department of Employee Relations-Employee Benefits Division-Workers Compensation Section", add one position of "Claims Processor", one position of "Claims Adjuster" and one position of "Management Services Adjuster".

Under "Fire Department" add six positions of "Fire Lieutenant" and delete six positions of "Fire Fighter (B)" and add one position of "Battalion Chief, Fire(K)(W)", and add footnote "(K)" to read as follows:

"(K) Coordinator - Marquette Interchange Reconstruction Project", and add footnote "(W)" to read as follows:

"(W) To expire 2/28/06 unless the 2004 Traffic Mitigation Marquette Interchange Reconstruction grant is extended."

Under "Library Board, Central Library Services Decision Unit, Interlibrary Services Grant" add one position of "Library Reference Assistant (H)", and add footnote "H" to read as follows:

"H) To expire 12/31/04 unless the Interlibrary Services Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Milwaukee County Federated Library System, is extended. Positions are authorized only as reflected in the grant agreements as approved by the Grantor Agencies."

Under "Police Department" amend the footnote "(K)" to read as follows: High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Grant. Position authority to expire if HIDTA funding and the HIDTA project are discontinued or until 12/31/04 unless the HIDTA grant is extended."
