Resolution directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a document titled “State/Municipal Agreement for a State-Let Highway Project” with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, real estate acquisition, and construction of South 84th Street (STH 181) Honey Creek to Bluemound Road and to set up funds for design engineering and real estate acquisition at an estimated total cost of $310,000 with an estimated City share of $31,250 and a grantor share of $247,500. Remaining $31,250 of costs to be funded by City of Wauwatosa.
Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, real estate acquisition, and construction of South 84th Street (STH 181) Honey Creek to Bluemound Road. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 75 percent Federal and State aid and 25 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering, and 100 percent Federal and State aid for real estate acquisition. The total estimated cost of this project is $1,860,000 with a City share of $119,150 and a grantor share of $1,649,750. Remaining $91,100 of costs to be funded by City of Wauwatosa. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering at an estimated cost of $250,000 with an estimated City share of $31,250 and a grantor share of $187,500. Remaining $31,250 of costs to be funded by City of Wauwatosa. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for real estate acquisition at an estimated cost of $60,000 with an estimated City share of $0 and a grantor share of $60,000. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.
