Resolution granting a permanent maintenance easement on a City-owned property located at 2526 South Kinnickinnic Avenue, in the 14th Aldermanic District. (DCD-Real Estate)

This easement will enable the property owner to the south of the City-owned property, Engine House No. 11 at 2526 South Kinnickinnic Avenue, to install windows on the north side of their building by establishing a permanent easement on the south 10 feet of the City-owned property at the above address, currently used as Engine House No. 11 of the Milwaukee Fire Department.
BODY:
Whereas, The property owners of 2534 South Kinnickinnic Avenue are in the process of remodeling their building; and
Whereas, In order to place windows in the north wall of their building, they have requested that they be granted a permanent 10 foot easement; and
Whereas, The Fire Department of the City of Milwaukee has no objection to granting this easement since it will not physically impact their operations at Engine House No. 11; and
Whereas, This easement can be terminated at any time if the Fire Department wishes to redevelop the property; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the 10 foot permanent easement on the City-owned property at 2526 South Kinnickinnic Avenue be granted; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to execute the permanent easement and that it be recorded and kept on file in the office of the City Comptroller.
