Whereas, The 2006 city budget includes funding authority in the Milwaukee Public Library operating expenditures for equipment purchases in the library materials - books and other account, and a footnote specifies that funds in the library materials account may not be used to purchase audio or video materials except those items devoted to the visually impaired or physically handicapped; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council directs that library materials funding in the 2006 Public Library budget may not be used for audio or video materials except for those items devoted to the visually impaired and physically handicapped.
