- Analysis -
When the Common Council established Business Improvement District No. 22 in 1997, it set the size of the BID Board at five members. This resolution increases the size of the BID Board to six members in accordance with a request from the BID proponents.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee by File No. 970901 adopted October 14, 1997, created Business Improvement District No. 22 ("BID No. 22") and approved its first year Operating Plan; and
Whereas, The initial BID No. 22 Operating Plan approved by the Common Council specified that the Board of BID No. 22 shall have five members; and
Whereas, The proponents of BID No. 22 have requested that its size be increased to six members to provide broader representation of businesses in the Oakland/Edgewood area; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Board of BID No. 22 shall consist of six members; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Mayor is authorized and directed to appoint one person to the newly created place on the Board of BID No. 22 pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.608(3)(a), Wisconsin Statutes.
