Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes and directs the proper City officers to execute a Bill of Sale document for the acceptance of sewers from the MMSD.
Body
Whereas, The MMSD currently owns and maintains an 8-inch diameter sewer in East Wright Street from North Gordon Court to a point approximately 363 feet east of North Gordon Court; and an 84-inch diameter sewer in North Riverboat Road between MMSD intercepting structures IS207 and IS207A; and

Whereas, On December 11, 2000, the MMSD Commission adopted Resolution Number 00-212-12 authorizing the transfer of ownership of and future maintenance responsibilities for said sewers from the MMSD to the City of Milwaukee (the City); and

Whereas, On March 20, 2001, the MMSD formally requested that ownership of and future maintenance responsibilities for said sewers be transferred to the City; and

Whereas, By owning and maintaining the sewers, the City will be able to develop adjacent property without constructing new sewers; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute Bill of Sale SC-2700 for the acceptance of MMSD sewers, said Bill of Sale is attached and made part of this file; and, be it

Further Resolved, That after said Bill of Sale has been executed by the proper City officers, it shall be forwarded to the office of the City Attorney for approval as to form and execution and then to the office of City Real Estat...
