Resolution authorizing acceptance of a developer deposit from Tandem Development to partially fund traffic circle and street light improvements in the Brewers Hill Commons project area. (DPW)
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to accept a deposit from Tandem Development to be used for street light and/or traffic circle improvements in the Brewers Hill Commons area. The deposit is estimated to be approximately $90,000. Per Common Council File Number 020095 adopted May 14, 2002, the City committed $150,000 toward the cost of these improvements. The remaining funding will be provided by the developer.
Body
Whereas, Tandem Development is undertaking a residential development project known as Brewers Hill Commons in the vicinity of North Hubbard Street and East Reservoir Avenue; and
Whereas, On May 14, 2002, the Milwaukee Common Council approved File Number 020095 authorizing the expenditure of $150,000 for streetscape improvements in conjunction with the Brewers Hill Commons development; and
Whereas, Those streetscape improvements will consist of traffic circles at two intersections and enhanced street lighting in the project area; and
Whereas, The improvements are expected to cost approximately $240,000 overall with the developer paying all costs over and above the City's $150,000 contribution; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council fo the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to accept a deposit estimated to equal approximately $90,000 from Tandem Development for the purpose of constructing streetscape improvements in conjunction with Tandem's Brewers Hill Commons residential development.
