Resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Gonococcal Susceptibility Grant. (Health Department)
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Gonococcal Susceptibility Grant from the Centers for Disease Control through the Association of Public Health Laboratories in the amount of $29,750. The purpose of the project is funding the laboratory to examine the antimicrobial susceptibility patterns among women infected with gonorrhea.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Association of Public Health Laboratories to examine the antimicrobial susceptibility patterns among women infected with gonorrhea; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 10/01/04 to 06/30/05 would cost $29,750 entirely provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Association of Public Health Laboratories is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent of the 2005 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects fund, the following amounts for the project titled Gonococcal Susceptibility Grant:
