Whereas, The Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account is used to promote the City’s economic development programs; and
Whereas, Midtown Neighborhood Alliance is a resident-led non-profit community organization operating in the City’s Midtown neighborhood, and
Whereas, The Midtown Neighborhood Alliance’s Heart of the City Campaign aims to rebrand the Midtown Neighbrohood, by providing a professionally designed logo, permanent signage, as well as branded t-shirts and magnets, and
Whereas, Creating a positive brand for the Midtown neighborhood is intended to strengthen the community within and improve its economic development, therefore; be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that up to $2,000 is appropriated from the 2023 Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account No. 0001-1310-S123-006300 to the Midtown Neighborhood Alliance - Heart of the City Campaign; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officials are authorized and directed to negotiate and enter into an agreement with the Midtown Neighborhood Alliance for the purposes of accepting City funds to be used to promote and support the work of the event.
