Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the Milwaukee Family Justice Center Grant Project from the U.S. Department of Justice.  The purpose of the project is to support the planning and establishment of a one-stop-shop facility to provide wrap around services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the  U.S. Department of Justice to support the planning and establishment of a one-stop-shop facility to provide wrap around services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the U.S. Department of Justice is authorized.
