This resolution expresses Common Council approval of a personal services agreement between the Health Department and Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI), which permits PPWI to use space at the Health Department's Northwest Health Center to deliver reproductive health services to underserved residents.

Whereas, The mission of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is to ensure the right of all individuals to manage their reproductive health through direct services, education, and advocacy; and
Whereas, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is one of the largest affiliates of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the largest reproductive health care provider in the state; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee seeks to provide needed public health counseling to its low-income residents; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) is authorized and directed to approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which establishes the roles and responsibilities of MHD and Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin with regard to services and space provided at Northwest Health Center, as described in the MOU attached to this file.
