This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration to accept a contribution of computer hardware and software programs, valued at $15,000, from the Environmental Systems Research Institute. This contribution will allow creation of a website to provide information on local jobs, financial assistance, health care, child care and public education.
BODY:
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
Whereas, The Department of Administration has received an offer of donation consisting of $15,000 worth of computer hardware and software programs from the Environmental Systems Research Institute; and
Whereas, This donation will be used to create a website providing information on local jobs, financial assistance, health care, child care and public education; and
Whereas, This donation will permit the Department of Administration Information and Technology Management Division to have the donated hardware and software on-site to provide additional services to customers; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Administration is authorized to accept a donation of computer hardware and software programs from the Environmental Systems Research Institute, in accordance with established City policies and procedures for acceptance of contributions.
