Title
Resolution declaring a vacant, tax-deed lot located at 3730-32 North 21st Street surplus and accepting an Offer to Purchase from Siloah Lutheran Congregation for school expansion purposes, in the 10th Aldermanic District. (DCD)
Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a vacant, tax-deed lot for expansion of school facilities.
Body
Whereas, Siloah Lutheran Congregation, with its property located at 2112 West Nash Street, has submitted an Offer to Purchase the vacant, tax-deed lot located at 3730-32 North 21st Street in the amount of $3,000; and
 
Whereas, Siloah Lutheran Congregation proposes to purchase the two privately owned properties north and south of said vacant, tax-deed lot and then combine the three properties into one for the purpose of building a new school on the site; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends acceptance of said Offer contingent upon final site and building plan approval prior to closing on said property; and
 
Whereas, Said lot is to be sold in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for said lot; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the vacant, tax-deed lot located at 3730-32 North 21st Street is declared surplus, that the Offer to Purchase from Siloah Lutheran Congregation is accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution with the proceeds from the sale, less a 20 percent disposition cost reimbursement paid to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
