Substitute resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to issue a permit to J. H. Findorff & Son, general contractor, for the office building to be built at the southwest corner of North Water Street and East Wells Street, for temporary occupancy of East Wells Street, North Water Street and North Front Street, adjacent to the development.

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue one or more permits to J. H. Findorff & Son, a general contractor, allowing use of East Wells Street, North Water Street and North Front Street for construction-related activities associated with a new office building to be located at the southwest corner of North Water Street and East Wells Street. The south sidewalk area and up to two travel lanes will be occupied on East Wells Street, the west sidewalk area and the parking lane will be occupied on North Water Street, and up to one-half of the roadway will be occupied on North Front Street, adjacent to the site. The contractor will provide a covered pedestrian walk along East Wells Street and North Water Street. Additional areas may be occupied for short periods as conditions dictate. Construction is expected to begin in October, 1998 and the building will be open by October, 1999.

Whereas, The Hammes Company plans to construct an office building at the southwest corner of East Wells Street and North Water Street; and
Whereas, The Hammes Company has hired J. H. Findorff and Son to construct the new office building; and
