Hamed for the premises at 6608 W. Fond du Lac Avenue, "Foodtown & Liquor" (2nd Ald. Dist.). Written exceptions have been filed. Recommendation of renewal with a 15-day suspension of the Class "A" Malt License of Adnan H. Shana'a for the premises at 712 N. 17th Street, "Dany's Foods" (4th Ald. Dist.). Written exceptions have not been filed by the licensee. Recommendation of nonrenewal of the Class "B" Tavern and Tavern Dance License of Alice Pullian for the premises at 2763 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive "Sweet Pleasure" (6th Ald. Dist.) Written exceptions have not been filed by the licensee. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Schramm, Johnson-Odom, Ald.Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Kalwitz. Noes: 0. THE CHAIR questioned whether any of the applicants or their counsel was present and wished to address the Council. Tareq A. Hamed - The applicant was present. ALD. Witkowiak moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from the applicant's attorney and Assistant City Attorney. PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE Attorney Michael Whitcomb and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the Committee relative to the foregoing matter. ALD. BUTLER moved that the Committee do now rise. The motion prevailed. ALD. GORDON moved to renew the application of Tareq Hamed notwithstanding the recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee. The motion failed by the following vote: Ayes: 11 - Ald. D'Amato Henningsen, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Richards, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Nardelli Hines, and President Kalwitz. Noes: 6 - Ald. Pratt, Schramm, Frank, Butler, Breier and Murphy. ALD. SCHRAMM moved for reconsideration of of Tareq Hamed. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: 13 - Ald. D'Amato, Henningsen, Schramm, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli and President Kalwitz. Noes: 4 - Ald. Pratt, Butler, Murphy and Hines. ALD. GORDON moved to renew the application of Tareq Hamed notwithstanding the recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: 11 - Ald. D'Amato, Henningsen, Schramm, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Richards, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Nardelli and President Kalwitz. Noes: 6 - Ald. Pratt, Frank, Butler, Breier, Murphy and Hines. ALD. MURPHY moved to go into the Committee of the Whole to hear from the counsel for the applicant and the City Attorney's Office. BUTLER moved that the Committee do now rise. The motion prevailed. ALD. GORDON moved that the application of Winsome E. Lue-Hing be referred back to the Utilities and Licenses Committee. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: 14 - Ald.
