Title

Resolution authorizing the transfer of $50,000 between Department of Public Works capital accounts to fund the installation of traffic signals at the intersection of North 4^th Street and West St. Paul Avenue.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes the City Comptroller to transfer $50,000 from the

Department of Public Works' paving program parent capital account to the traffic signal

installation capital account to fund the installation of traffic signals at the intersection of North 4^th  Street and West St. Paul Avenue. It also directs the Commissioner of Public Works to install these signals.

Body

Whereas, Traffic controls at the intersection of North 4^th Street and West St. Paul Avenue currently consist of stop signs for the traffic on North 4^th Street only; and

Whereas, There is a need for traffic signals at this intersection; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of installing traffic signals at the intersection of North 4^th Street and West St. Paul Avenue is $50,000; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Comptroller  is directed to transfer $50,000 from the Department of Public Works paving program parent capital account (0333-9990-R999-ST211007000) to the Department of Public Works' capital account for traffic signal installation (0333-5010-R999-ST22007000) to fund for  the installation of traffic signals at the intersection of North 4^th Street and West St. Paul Avenue; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of Public Works is directed to install the traffic signals funded by this transfer of funds.
