Title
A resolution authorizing the transfer of $55,000 from the 2002 Traffic
Capital Program Project/Grant Number ST220020000 for the installation of
a new traffic signal at the intersection of West Kinnickinnic River Parkway
and South 43rd Street in the 8th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install a new
traffic signal at the intersection of West Kinnickinnic River Parkway and
South 43rd Street.
Body
Whereas, Traffic control signals have been requested for this intersection by area residents; and
Whereas , The City and the County of Milwaukee believe that the installation of a new traffic signal is appropriate because several of the warrants for traffic control signal installation contained in the Federal Manual of uniform Traffic Control Devices were met; and
Whereas, The total estimated cost of this installation is $55,000, two-thirds of which is being provided by funds from our 2002 Capital Budget and one-third being reimbursed by the Milwaukee County Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be and hereby is authorized and directed to install a new traffic control signal at the Intersection of West Kinnickinnic River Parkway and South 43rd Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized to create the appropriate Project/Grant Number for this installation as indicated:

Transfer from Project/Grant Number ST220020000, the estimated cost of $55,000 to Project/Grant Number ST220020203.
