ANLS:
This resolution amends Common Council File 961578 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Campaign for our Children Grant. The purpose of the grant is a community effort to reduce the incidence of teen pregnancy.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File 961578 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Campaign for our Children Grant from the Milwaukee Foundation for the purpose of a community effort to reduce the incidence of teen pregnancy. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $55,000 and a City share total of $O; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $13,750; the in-kind City share remains at $0; and the total cost is increased by $13,750; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Milwaukee Foundation is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to encumber in the parent accounts of the 1998 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project titled Campaign for our Children Grant:
