Substitute resolution relative to acceptance and funding of the FDA Compliance Check Grant.
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the FDA Compliance Check Grant project from the Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services, Bureau of Substance Abuse in the amount of $41,004 grantor share. The purpose of the project is to coordinate and facilitate compliance checks at retail establishments that market tobacco products in the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for coordinating and facilitating compliance checks at retail establishments that market tobacco products in the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 09/30/99 to 01/31/01 would cost $41,004 provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2000 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project titled FDA Compliance Check Grant:
