Title
Resolution relating to the membership of the Skywalk Design Task Force.
Analysis
Currently, the Skywalk Design Task Force has 9 members of whom 2 are the Chair of the City Plan Commission and one other member of the City Plan Commission, or their designees. The resolution establishing the Skywalk Design Task Force does not specify the appointing authority for the City Plan Commission member of the task force. Under this resolution, the City Plan Commission member serving on the Skywalk Design Task Force shall be appointed by the Common Council President.

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 881137 on September 20, 1988, creating a Skywalk Design Task Force to evaluate skywalk designs and make recommendations to the Common Council; and
Whereas, The Common Council wishes to clarify the membership of the task force; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Resolution File Number 881137, adopted on September 20, 1988, is amended by deleting the first “Further Resolved” clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
“Further Resolved, That the Task Force shall consist of 9 members: the Chair of the Common Council’s Zoning and Development Committee or alternate; the Chair of the Historical Preservation Committee or a designee; the Chair of the City Plan Commission or a designee; a member of the City Plan Commission appointed by the Common Council President; the Urban Development Coordinator in the Department of City Development; Superintendent of Buildings and Fleet Services or a designee; the Chair of the Space, Air and Subterranean Space Structures Lease Committee or a designee; the Executive Director of the Milwaukee Redevelopment Corporation or a designee; and the Chair of the Building Owners Management Association or a designee; and, be it”
