Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to let contracts for sewer and water laterals for 2006.

Body

Whereas, Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 12.14 to 12.20 of the City Charter pertaining to work prior to the improvement of streets and for street projects funded by other City departments, the Commissioner of Public Works is required to install, or cause to be installed sewer and water laterals in the City of Milwaukee; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to prepare plans and let contracts to the lowest responsible bidder, according to law, for the installation of sewer and water laterals on all streets approved by the Common Council for improvement in 2006.
