Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has, since 2022, organized a Back to School Festival to celebrate education and provide school supplies to families preparing for the school year; and

Whereas, On Sunday, August 24, 2025 the City of Milwaukee will celebrate its third annual Back to School Festival at Indigenous People’s Park; and

Whereas, The event will offer activities for children, free food, services, and resources for families; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Clerk is authorized to expend up to $10,000 from the 2025 Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account No. 0001-1310-S123-006300 to support the 2025 Back to School Festival.
