Analysis
This resolution authorizes the transfer of $200,000 from the State and Federal Aided Street Improvement Fund, ST32001000, to a sub-account for the installation of conduit in West Fond du Lac Avenue.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee is installing conduit in West Fond du Lac Avenue between North 20th Street and North 35th Street to facilitate the City's cable installation needs prior to the planned improvement of West Fond du Lac Avenue; and

Whereas, All available Underground Conduit Funds are being applied to the Fond du Lac Avenue Project but will fall significantly short of the total projected costs; and

Whereas, The newly installed conduit is the final segment of conduit needed to create a major connection to the northwest side of the City; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted a preliminary resolution determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct this nonassessable improvement; and

Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvement:

7th, 10th and 17th Aldermanic Districts

Major conduit installations. (ST280010200) File Number 001351:
(Underground Conduit Fund - $200,000)

;now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it

Further Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer $200,000 from the State and Federal Aided Street Improvement Fund to the Major Conduit Installation Fund ST280010200, of ...
