This substitute motion approves the recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee for the nonrenewal of the licensed dwelling facility license for the Parkay Hotel located at 1570 W. National Ave.
Body
Whereas, The Utilities and Licenses Committee held a hearing on May 31, 2005 relative to the renewal of the licensed dwelling facility license of Milwaukee Parkway, LLC  for the premises at 1570 W. National Ave. ("Parkay Hotel"); and
 
Whereas, After hearing testimony presented at the committee hearing, the committee found that the evidence provided by the Department of Neighborhood Services and the Milwaukee Police Department did support nonrenewal of the license; and
 
Whereas, The Utilities and Licenses Committee approved the nonrenewal of the license on May 31, 2005 by a unanimous vote of 4 ayes and  0 noes; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee hereby accepts the recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee to recommend nonrenewal of the licensed dwelling facility license of Milwaukee Parkway, LLC  for the premises at 1570 W. National Ave. ("Parkay Hotel").
