Whereas, the Milwaukee Public Library uses its Reimbursable Services Advance Fund to process payments for a number of Milwaukee Public Library Trust and Gift Fund purchases each year; and
Whereas, utilization of the Milwaukee Public Library’s 2020 Reimbursable Services Advance Fund expenditures have been higher than anticipated due to an increased level of remote work necessitated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that $100,000 be and hereby is appropriated from the 2020 Reimbursable Services Advance Fund to the Milwaukee Public Library; and, be it
Further Resolved, That this appropriation is in addition to the $250,000 appropriated to the Milwaukee Public Library by Common Council Resolution 191159; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish the necessary accounts and accounting procedures to carry out the intent of this resolution; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the procedures for handling and advancing funds in anticipation of reimbursable revenue be in accordance with those set forth in Common Council File 80-1513.
