TITL:

Substitute motion to approve recommendations of the Utilities and Licenses Committee relative to renewal of the rooming house license issued to Silvano S. Monreal for the premises located at 401 S. 2nd Street, in the 12th Aldermanic District.

ANLS:

This substitute motion renews the rooming house license of Silvano S. Monreal for the premises located at 401 S. 2nd Street.

BODY:

Whereas, The Utilities and Licenses Committee held an evidentiary hearing on November 25, 1998, relative to the renewal of the rooming house license of Silvano S. Monreal for the premises located at 401 S. 2nd Street; and

Whereas, The Utilities and Licenses Committee, after hearing all of the testimony of the Milwaukee Police Department voted unanimously (4 ayes, 0 noes, 1 excused) to recommend renewal of said license; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, hereby accepts the recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee to renew the rooming house license of Silvano S. Monreal for the premises located at 401 S. 2nd Street despite police objections.
