Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of West Capitol Drive (STH 190) from North 35th Street to the Milwaukee River. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 75 percent Federal and State aid and 25 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The total estimated cost of this project is $7,005,000 with a City share of $934,100 and a grantor share of $6,070,900. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering at an estimated cost of $2,570,000 with an estimated City share of $642,500 and a grantor share of $1,927,500; and to transfer funds for real estate acquisition at an estimated cost of $110,000 with an estimated City share of $0 and a grantor share of $110,000. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.
