Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File 050739 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Childhood Immunization Disparities Grant. The purpose of the grant is to reduce immunization disparities and increase immunization rates.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File 050739 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Childhood Immunization Disparities Grant from Centers for Disease Control for the purpose of reducing immunization disparities and increasing immunization rates. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $300,000; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program remains the same with changes to position authority; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2006 Positions Ordinance, Common Council File 050457, should be amended as follows:
