This resolution approves the expansion of the Enterprise Community target area to include part of the Parklawn Housing Development.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has a federally designated Enterprise Community administered by the Community Block Grant Administration; and
 
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee may request an amendment to the Enterprise Community target area; and
 
Whereas, The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee will receive additional points on their application for a Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") grant to revitalize the Parklawn Housing Development if Parklawn is part of a Federal Enterprise Community; and
 
Whereas, The inclusion of the Parklawn Housing Development in the target area will not affect any of the benchmarks of the City's Enterprise Community grant award; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Community Block Grant Administration is authorized to submit an amendment to HUD to include Parklawn Housing Development as part of the designated Federal Enterprise Community target area; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Community Block Grant Administration, upon approval of this amendment, shall be authorized to implement the program in accordance with the terms of the contract with the granting agency; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That all of the proper City officials are authorized to cooperate with the Director of the Community Block Grant Administration for the purpose of meeting all related administrative requirements and responsibilities.
