Resolution directing the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate an abandoned street remnant in the block bounded by North 1st Street, West Townsend Street, North 2nd Street and West Randolph Street, in the 6th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said abandoned street remnant in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was initiated by the Department of City Development, Real Estate Division, to apportion the land to adjacent property owners. The City of Milwaukee owns the property at 124 West Townsend Street.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that an abandoned street remnant in the block bounded by North 1st Street, West Townsend Street, North 2nd Street and West Randolph Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said abandoned street remnant in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
